So, I'm sitting here thinking about all the things in life I want to achieve, all the goals I have for this year. All the things I want to accomplish. So I'm interested in everyone elses lives. Tell me about your life, your dreams, your to-do lists. Your wishlists. Think of it as an offloading journal entry to yourself & the world wide internets! Here's an example of mine. Right now I am trying to study. I have an exam in two days, I've already had one which I think I'll have to repeat the paper next year. I've got one in five days which I really want to pass & I think I'm somewhat motivated to study for it. I'm worried about the possiblity of losing my job. My partner and I work at the same parttime job & ever since the store manager has found out we're dating he's made our lives hell. My partners handing in his resignation letter and I feel bad for him, it shouldn't have come to this, but he's had enough. Right now I'm loving my partner, Matt. It's our four month anniversary today, I got him a heart shaped chocolate wrapped in blue foil (his favourite color) with a blue rose decorating it. We agreed to only get something small & I'm all about cute small cheesy gifts. I'm taking him to his favourite restraunt Nandos for lunch/dinner on Thursday then we're going to watch Saw V, he hates horror movies which is why it's such an honor that he has agreed to go with me! I've purcahased, lately I've bought two main things, I really have to stop buying. I bought a new cellphone as mine broke: Here's my new one which is being shipped in two days! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Mobile-phones/Vodafone-network/Other/photos/a-184590802/p-76252999.htm Then I also bought this little guy, just to cheer myself up. http://www.strapya-world.com/products/17134.html I collect cute japanese toys, I think they're gorgeous. I'm looking foward to, going to the hospital today to visit my grandma after her hip operation, I havn't seen her in so long. I'm also looking foward to going away with Matt on Saturday, we're going camping for two weeks to celebrate his 18th. I'm currently addicted to http://www.etsy.com/ which has provided the inspiration I need to start making cute things out of polymer clay and selling them. It's my goal to have my own creations for sale online. Another one of my e-goals is to create a livejournal and actually blog in it! I think I'd need to make it extra cute to keep the inspiration to blog alive. I'm looking foward to christmas, but I'm worried about debt. On my christmas wishlist is: To get my hair dyed bright blonde. http://myemohairstyles.com/images/white%20blonde.JPG An ipod. I really like this one: http://www.bid4optics.com/shop/images/New%20Apple%20iPod%20nano%208GB%20green.jpg Even though Matt said I can have his ipod shuffle that he never uses, that would be just as good of a present! These cuties for my ipod: http://shanalogic.com/item.php?item_id=974&category_id=95 So share with me yours! moreVoting Question: I need a list of promises to put on 92 cards as apart of my one year anniversary gift to my boyfriend.?
I'm making a small booklet of 92 reasons why I love my boyfriend and 92 promises I make to him.. Any ideas? moreVoting Question: How do I convince my mom to help me sell some of my old stuff on eBay?
I want to get rid of some of my old toys (My Little Pony's, Toys that come in a cereal box, ETC). But my mom doesn't want to help. It's just 15 cents a listing. And I've more than enough money to do so. I just need her help to box things, help me pay the fee([use her card] & DUH, I WILL pay her back) and come up w/ price's. I've gathered up all kinds of things that could go high on eBay. I've yet to go through my stuff up in the attic. I've sent her an email(Easiest way to do so with her hurting me). I want to reach my goal of 500$ within the next two months so I can buy her & daddy a beautiful anniversary gift, but I don't want her to know about it. PLEASE NO RUDE ANSWERS! moreResolved Question: What do I do about my ex girl friend?
Tomorrow marks the 2-year anniversary of the end of my friendship with my best-friend Lee. This was a friendship that lasted 21 years without any problems or even a harsh word. Looking back on it, I realize there were problems, but I just didn’t want to deal with them. What happened you ask? Well, it’s a long story but the bottom line is, I told her I needed a break! That was all! I called her up and said, “I need to take a break for awhile, but if you ever need me please call.” She never has. NEVER! She has never bothered to pick up the phone to ask me WHY? I tried to patch things up with her but she just sat and yelled at me. I’ve talked to her twice since then and told her when she wants to talk I’m here, but nothing. She tells people I hurt her. NO I didn’t, she hurt herself. Because Lee does not know the main reason why I walked away I’m not going to list it here, that’s for her find out, if she ever grows up. But I will say that I had lots of other reasons. If I even listed half the stuff she did, her kids wouldn’t speak to her, her husband would file for a divorce, she wouldn’t have any friends and the FBI would be contacting her. Let’s just say she’s not a nice person anymore. (She used to be) The people she has been associating with for several years have really changed her. I knew they were bad news, I told her so, she just wouldn’t listen to me. Misery loves company. Three months after we quit talking I was in a terrible accident. I needed re-constructive surgery. Everyone said I was lucky I wasn’t dead. That would have been the perfect opportunity to work things out, but she didn’t even call me! If she had been the one in the accident I would have been by her side. The real victims in this tragedy are the kids. My children loved her dearly. She was like an Aunt to them. Three months ago my oldest daughter graduated from high school. Even though she has kept in contact with Lee, Lee did not even acknowledge the graduation announcement my daughter sent her. I think that is pathetic. Lee herself just became a grandmother. Of course I was not invited to the baby shower even though I have known her son longer than anyone. I do however, plan to send her son and his wife a gift. I loved Lee she was like my sister. I want to write her a letter, but my husband says to stay away from her. I am so angry and hurt that she so easily dismissed me and my family. I have kept all her secrets but I am finding it harder and harder as time goes on. I just don’t know what to do. moreVoting Question: First Anniversary Ideas?
So, mine and my husband's first anniversary is still quite some time away. It will be in April. I was trying to think of ideas and things to do or get him. I was thinking of a weekend away during the weekend of the anniversary, and either going back to where we honeymooned, or going to Montreal, which was second on our list for a honeymoon. Does this sound like a good idea? Also, as a stay-at-home mom, I don't make very much money, but what is an appropriate gift to get your husband for your first anniversary? Also, neither of us drink any alcohol, not even occasionally. What could we do that is romantic? moreVoting Question: Its my anniversary today, I need some advice or help on this situation.?
She said happy anniversary this morning and that was the end of her acknowkedgement of our 5 anniv. she says the man is supposed to do everything because she is the girl. Now mind you i did have a special night and i already gave her nice gifts. ran around allday trying to get everything right for tonight. she has not even gave me a card or note or hug or kiss as she sits on the bed playing bejeweled and listing to music. i told her i am very hurt and upset. she said she had work today as i did as well and didnt have time to do anything. thats fine if she got to busy today but what about the months and weeks prior to our anniversary? Did she blow me off? why would my wife not care? or even fell bad? instead she wants to argue a point to justify her actions by calling me names and not one time have a direct answer for her actions. Am i over reacting? im 37, she is 40. thank you so much for your help. moreResolved Question: One my guests is questioning my guest list. How do I respond?
I know this isn't exactly a wedding question, but those of you planning weddings must know how to deal with this issue: I am throwing a party to celebrate my parents' wedding anniversary. I'm the only child and am taking a lot of pride in handling the arrangements on my own, as a gift to them. I don't have a lot of money but I found a nice small venue that I could afford and asked my guests to make it a potluck BBQ. The venue only holds 25 people, which would include my parents' siblings and their children, and two friends they have known for twenty years. Now my aunt is emailing me with a bunch of questions about whether I invited this great-aunt or that second cousin, which I did not. This was the only place I found that I could afford on my own, and I am hurt that my aunt in questioning me and my judgement. I feel that if she wanted to control the guest list, she could have planned a party herself. But I am the hostess and should be able to invite as many people as I want. Please help me respond to her inquiries in a manner that is polite and respectful (I know she thinks she's helping) but which indicates that I have made my decisions and do not need her questioning me. I don't want to cause problems in the family or make people feel that they weren't wanted: it's just that this was what I could afford to give them. moreResolved Question: One of my guests is questioning my guest list. Okay, so him and I have a special number, 104. I made a list of 104 memorable moments/special things/insiders etc. I was thinking about cutting them into little strips and tying them together and putting them in a little box. But I have no box and don't have time to go and buy one because our anniversary is on Thursday! So I need some ideas on how to incorporate them into something really special to give to him on our 1 year anniversary. Oh, by the way we are both 15. I want to give my man a gift for our 1 year anniversary, and I know what I want to do... I just need some ideas as far as execution goes. I wrote down a list of 365 things that I am in love with about him... but now what? I was thinking either 365 tiny scrolls in a large bottle (message in a bottle style) or 365 small cards in a box. I'll list some below Knock Knock - Who's There - The Police, Youre family's dead. (its mean i know) Bob was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was really pissed. She told him "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE !!" The next morning he got up early and left for work. When his wife woke up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway. Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, brought the box back in the house. She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale. Bob has been missing since Friday. moreResolved Question: How to give what she wants...
I have been going out with my girlfriend for 10 months... it has been a rollercoaster 1 but deep down we love each other... but I fear that it might end before our year anniversary. The problem I suspect is largely to do with me - We are both 21 My girlfriend is a typical one, wants attention... wants to feel loved... wants to know I'm in her thoughts, wants to be talked to everyday. Not too pushy, does not require constant gifts or needing money to support the relationship, likes to get that buzz now and then, likes a bit of romance...... I know, as you can see, problem - I don't really know how to do any of these or do them consistently... pathetic right? She claims it is just the way I am... that I don't know what to do... that I can't give her what she wants despite me abling to list all that in front of her. I am able to give her a love-boast in person... but she says that the problem still lies, and that me being there only temporarily compromises for the missing feeling. The worst problems occur away from each other... She is tired of my incapability - not me as a person... it might be true, but the fact is that I love her and I just dont know how to show it. There may have been a number of reasons why its like this, we experienced no honeymoon period at the start of the relationship.. that was before we started and I didnt realise it or asked her out. By the time we went out, the timing was all wrong and the feeling was confused for her especially... Also, we have frictional arguments over "me" and pretty much all the things I have mentioned above... I assure her I can change and that I know what she wants... I do know what it is, I sometimes do it.. and it lasts a few days before she is "the feeling" deprived again. So... Help... what is wrong? is it just me? Maybe I was born to not be love-compatible? ... Sorry if it's a bit wordy moreResolved Question: What should i get my boyfriend for our 2 year anniversary?
He's 18 and he likes sports. I've already gotten him a watch, cologne, video games, and clothes before. and i think gift cards are pretty lame. I'm thinking something a little more romantic than the things i've listed... moreResolved Question: How did the tradition of _____ anniversaries get started for weddings?
I can see how a clock or something made of paper would be a fitting first anniversary gift, and how granite would be fitting for the ninetieth anniversary... but how did the ones in the middle (particularly the more obscure, like the sixteenth tungsten anniversary) get established? Also, how and when did the whole setup become standardized? Was there a board of wedding gift suppliers, or was it a newspaper columnist, or something? And, finally, how come not all of them have a gift? Obviously it would be tiresome to compile a list that went 1-90 counting every single anniversary, but it is roughly so from 1-20. It is, actually a complete list in the UK, but in the US there's no gift for the 17th and 19th anniversaries. Why is that? moreResolved Question: 10 points for the first correct answer...?

My husband & I were married last year on 7-7-07. I'm a very organized person, & kept track of everything in regard to our wedding. We had a file box with a card for each invitee. On the card you list the guests, their invite response, any gift sent, when you sent a thank-you, etc. This helped me to send our thank-you's out timely. I broke the job down into several batches - Friends, Family, Co-workers, etc. Well, here we are coming up on our one year anniversary & we just rec'd a card from my husbands aunt congratulating us. In her card she mentions she hopes we rec'd her gift, because she never heard anything from us. She also mentions that my husband's cousin also sent a gift & never heard anything. After checking my file box - I found these were sent out along with 8 others on the same day & none of them were rec'd! What do we do? Do we send a new thank-you now? one of the gifts I rec'd from my hubby I would like to return without making him feel bad. It was not on my list of things I wanted, it cost too much, and the upkeep of it I want nothing to do with. SO - I was ready to just box it up and send it back and see if he notices or should i try to talk to him first ? Our anniversary is tomorrow I don't really want to upset him now if you know what I meannot only can I NOT break it because it's goose down but then it wouldnt exactly be returnable eitherLMAO Chicky !!!!! moreResolved Question: Clueless or Careless? Who cares?! I'm giftless!?
I wasn't raised petty, but I can reconcile my feelings about my husband's professed forgetfulness anymore. I feel like I'm undeserving or uninspiring, or something. Twelve years, and seldom any gifts on the normal gift holidays (Birthday, Valentine's, Anniversary, Christmas). We've discussed it several times, about how unimportant it makes me feel to not even be taken out for a walk in the park...anything, free is fine! When he does remember to purchase something, he doesn't put any thought into it. The last present I got was a t-shirt, six sizes too large - after a year of weightloss (nearly 100lbs) that he HAD to have noticed. Today - Christmas - nothing. Tons of presents under the tree, all purchased by me, with my paycheck for him and our son. Nevermind we had another 'I'd like to have something to unwrap' convo two weeks ago - not a damn thing for me. I've tried talking, buying my own, and not giving him anything. What works? He apologizes, but always gets upset that I'm upset and I'm tired of feeling guilty about my material wants. No, we're not divorcing, but I'd love some hints as to how I can fix this. No, handing him a list doesn't work either. moreResolved Question: Is this too much to ask for Christmas?

I am in the process of starting an online wish-list business where you would be able to make a wish-list of any gifts you want for any occasion... birthday, wedding, anniversary, and so on. Once a person makes this list of gift ideas... they would be able to send an e-mail invitation to any friends or relatives. This would be a free service but the question is how do I make money doing this? Maybe arrange some kind of partnership with local stores to advertise on the website? Does anyone have any ideas? I am also open to any other similar online business ideas if anyone would like to share them with me. I am a web designer myself so I plan to do all this on my own... the ideas are the hard part. moreResolved Question: Gift Options, $550 dollars and less?

Is this an unreasonable amount of things for a guy to do for his girlfriend, keep in mind he's doing this to try to make up for his infidelity. THE LIST -Keep an updated picture of me in your ipod and cellphone -Tell me that you love and miss me everyday -Send me a bouquet of flowers -Dedicate a song to me on the radio -Write a short 2-3 page story about how we met, where we are now, and what you picture our future like, be detailed. -Send me random gifts throughout the year (homemade gifts are definitely appreciated) -Plan a romantic getaway for our 2 year anniversary -Tell me how you feel about me in Spanish, try to learn at least four sentences. -Go one full month without being the one to initiate sex. -Once a week ask how my family and friend's lives are going. -Make and send a mix CD of my favorite songs, and of songs that make you think about me. -And last but not least I want you to come up with your own idea to do something spontaneous and romantic for me. I want to be surprised so don't hint or tell me anything about it. moreResolved Question: What to give my boyfriend for our one-year anniversary?
I looked at a lot of similar questions and answers for ideas, but I think I need things more specific to my case. We are both 21 and I want to give him something special for our one-year dating anniversary. I also don't want to give him the same types of things I've given him before: -pictures of us -a gift card to get a picture of us taken professionally (given last Christmas and he still hasn't used it) -poems I wrote him -CDs I made for him -a drawing of us -a list of reasons that I love him -that Hallmark valentines cat that talks -his favorite cheese popcorn He is romantic, but not much into tradition. He always gets me flowers, chocolates, etc, but says he wouldn't like any of those things himself. He says a new airsoft gun or a part for his car, but those just don't say "I love you" like I want them to! I also saw an idea to cook dinner for him, which would be great except that we're planning on going out to eat that night. We're quite serious, planning engagement soon. Ideas?Okay, forgot to say... I don't have tons of money to work with, so no concert/game tickets. I would like to spend $20-$50. And I'm saying that I don't want to give him chocolate and stuff, but I don't know what I SHOULD get him. And paper is the first wedding anniversary theme... we're just dating :-)Okay, forgot to say... I don't have tons of money to work with, so no concert/game tickets. I would like to spend $20-$50. We are planning a double wedding anniversary party in the (GTA) Toronto Ontario, Canada for April 12th. We have a very modest budget but we would love to have 50 or so guests. We need a venue both for the ceremony and the reception (preferably the same venue, even the same room). So if you know of someone or can reccomend someone who may be open to providinge their services for a discounted rate in exchange for using us as refernces and/or our pictures for expanding a portfolio or advertising or my "volunteering" to help them out with their new business. We would love to give students or people who have just started their company our business. So it's a win-win situation! Here is a list of what we are still in need of: a venue for the ceremony and reception (even in the same room), a florist, a D.J., a venue decorator, a caterer, gifts for our guest, a cake, wine,.... We are not asking for anything for free, just discounted. moreResolved Question: What is the ideal gift on a 4th wedding anniversary?
